DWP as the answer to city council's budget woes- and the reason for yours.

Have you noticed in news reporting on the city's budget manipulations that it's the DWP that is the place to be? That is where they have openings to absorb city employees from jobs paid for by the General fund where money is really all gone, to this, called a "proprietary" agency with its own budget, where they make their own rules and where a lot of money is collected.

Well , more rate hikes are coming but first here's a posting from today in RonKaye.LA a blog that gives you a pretty good chronology of what's happening in city hall-

This item gives you the picture of how the city has used DWP to shake you down for more money to bail themselves out for their bad management deals.

Another article on the same blog is from a few days ago, also on the DWP and rate hikes coming: "Somebody Has Got to Pay for This DWP Outrage" By Ron Kaye on February 27, 2010 9:05 AM

Each one of these blog postings shows you what you might have already suspected and it gives you a very good example of why you just cannot trust the Council and the mayor. You come in not second nor even third in terms of importance, but much lower. THEY have to come first, you know, of course they do. And then their campaign contributors and so on need to be tended to. So, unless you are passing over large sums of cash donations to their campaigns, you really don't matter to them.

Read more in the past postings from this blog of Ron Kaye and you will get a realistic view of what a bunch of time wasters they are, trying to please everybody (that counts, to them) and always thinking about what effect this will have on their political future.

That answer should be simple enough- this should be their last elected position. Koretz and Kracorian have a bit of excuse as they are new additions from last year's elections, but they may fall into place sooner or later. Right now they still have room to prove themselves. The rest are pretty much political animals and deserve no such benefit of any doubt.
