Lincoln Tigers were at home yesterday, with both the J.V. and Varsity teams coming away with victories against Mark Keppel High from Alhambra. Although still in non-league play, the games allowed the Tigers to apply their summer training and give the newcomers their initial playing time. The coaches will be using the upcoming week to adjust strategies for the next opponent, the Roosevelt Rough Riders. Congratulations to the all the teams and their coaches for their efforts.

The attendance was light, but the game was full of some very rewarding action on the field. For all those who attended, thanks for the support. The next Varsity game will be at Roosevelt Sept. 17th, next Friday evening at 7 p.m.

Next Saturday evening, September 18th, the LHS Alumni Association will be hosting the long-awaited "Sock Hop" at Lincoln, which will bring back those memories of old once again.

Sorry about the lack of more dates, I didn't have a chance to write all the dates down, but you can see for yourself now. More dates and details as we learn them. I DO know there is no varsity game scheduled for October 31st, Halloween, like last year.
